The fee for consultations is $40 and includes tongue and pulse diagnosis.
Custom formulas are prescribed as granules which are mixed with hot water and consumed as an herbal tea. The cost of custom granule formulas depend on the herbs prescribed, but often run in the range of $45-50 for a 10-11 day supply. About Donald Kimon Lightner, L.Ac.
Don has been the resident herbalist at Yong Sheng Herbs since 2012.
Don began studying acupuncture and Chinese medicine in 1996 and graduated from ASAOM in January of 2000. He later served as the Academic and Clinic Dean of ASAOM and has taught much of the core curriculum including Differential Diagnosis, Point Location, Five Element Theory, I Ching, the Shang Han Lun and Wen Bing Lun.
Don has studied martial arts for over 25 years, is a certified Urasenke Chanoyu instructor (Japanese tea ceremony), is ordained in the Zen Buddhist tradition, and is an artist, cyclist and scholar.
